Wooting UwU
Cute UwU, rapid trigger, customizable switch, everything is great
I'll start with what I like, since what I dislike might not matter much in the long run. It works as advertised, everything you see on the webpage. The product feels very rigid and sturdy, a bit light though. More on the weight later. The included cable feels very nice and was long enough for my application. I could see it potentially not being long enough for everyone, but I would assume they're the minority. The three bottom buttons give good actuation feedback, but the thick squishy button covering makes the actuation force inconsistent. This inconsistency is primarily just the two on the sides, but it does exist and is pretty jarring for me, as I use the right one for pausing. The software was easy to use, no complaints; note that I used the browser version, which I think was super neat of an option to have in the first place, but also I don't know what the experience is like with the other options. Now onto actually playing [osu!] with these switches, and this software. It was awesome! I now have maybe double? the click speed so I feel like a weight has been lifted (I alternate). My fingers have always been fast, but the rapid trigger is a game changer which just unlocks the speed that was missed from typical key presses. Big note on that though, if you set it to be very sensitive like myself: you now have to get used to your slightest press being counted as a press. There's a bit of a short period to get used to it, and your acc will suffer, but it's awesome when you're settled in. Now, the weight issue that is a big part of this review (for me), since I'm done with what I like. It is way too light in the stock configuration. I want to say the brass bottom should just always be part of the product. Now, I don't have it, but I do feel like it is likely essential, and I regret not selecting it. Problem with selecting it though, it increases the cost by a sizable chunk. *Almost* feels like getting extra RAM on an Apple product. So I guess I lied about it working perfectly as the webpage advertises? The non-slip bottom is definitely not non-slip, because this thing is light as a feather. So! Great product, but costs more than stock if you want it to feel just right. Which leads to another problem. If it was going to cost that much, it doesn't seem worth it anymore. You're getting just three usable keys and three usable (small and sometimes inconsistent) buttons for all that money. If it was flexible to be used as more than just an osu keypad, or a small macro keypad, I guess it would have its worth. But, it isn't that flexible, no. I do love having the product now that I have it, don't get me wrong; I just believe if you're already pretty happy with your setup, you don't need to splurge on this.
